Leonisa Ardizzone
Leonisa Ardizzone earned her BA from Ithaca College in Biology, her EdM in science education from Western Washington University, her doctorate in International Educational Development with a specialization in Peace Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and her Master of Divinity with a specialization in interreligious engagement from Union Theological Seminary.

Leonisa is an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister serving in Kingston, NY. Leonisa has taught every grade from pre-school to graduate school in public, private, museum, international, and informal education. Leonisa’s academic and teaching interests are multidisciplinary bringing together science and ecology, spirituality, activism, and anti-oppression work. She is the author of the books “Science - Not Just for Scientists” and “Gettin My Word Out: Voices of Urban Youth Activists” as well as many journal articles.
