Two Vassar Haiti Project Events Planned for April

The Vassar Haiti Project’s annual Haitian Art Sale and Auction is an important event every year, but this year’s Parents’ Weekend event is more meaningful than ever. The sale, which will feature over 300 paintings, sculptures, handcrafts, and hand-painted silk scarves, will run from April 9-11 in Main Building’s multipurpose room. Read More …

A Selection of April Speakers

On April 7, Günter Ziegler (pictured) will deliver the annual Winifred Asprey lecture in Mathematics, titled “Proofs from THE BOOK,” at 5:00 p.m. in Rockefeller 300. Ziegler, a professor at the Technical University of Berlin, will refute Wittgenstein’s famous claim that the moment of surprise in mathematical proofs will disappear. Read More …
