Renovated Alumnae House Welcomes New Department

On July 1, Vassar launched the new Office of Alumnae/i Affairs and Development (OAAD). The office brings together staff members from the previously separate Alumnae and Alumni of Vassar College (AAVC) and the Office of Development in an effort to synergize programming and fundraising efforts. Development operations had been located primarily in the Old Laundry Building on campus and AAVC was located in Alumnae House. The new office will operate primarily out of Alumnae House with some offices operating in Baldwin Hall and Main Building. See a list of locations below.

This summer, the Alumnae House underwent extensive renovations to turn third floor cubicles into offices. Contractors refigured walls on that level, laid down new carpeting, and installed glass bricks and doors to take advantage of natural light. They also spruced up the garden level of the building with paint and carpeting and gave the building a facelift by renewing the mortar and replaning the front steps and patio.
