Commencement 2016

Degrees were conferred on 630 members of the Class of 2016 at Vassar’s 152nd Commencement on May 29. The recent graduates, along with their families and friends, heard from several speakers at Commencement, including keynote speaker Sherrilyn Ifill '84 (president and director of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund), class president Lauren Nicole Garcia ’16, and AAVC President Milbrey “Missie” Rennie Taylor ’68. Integrated Science Commons Dedication Celebration

Time-Out Award Winner Lisa Vihos '81 is Supporting Literacy

The 2016 Time-Out Grant recipient, Lisa Vihos ’81, will spend the next year creating a reading garden for children in Malawi. The garden will provide visual representations of Malawian folktales, stories, and memoirs, with designs from the country’s artists and designers. Read More …

Mark Dion Exhibition, Universal Collection, is a Cabinet of Curiosities

Universal Collection: A Mark Dion Project is a site-specific installation featuring objects curated from various Vassar collections, including scientific instruments, paintings, botanical and geological specimens, sculpture, and Vassar memorabilia.
