James B. Steerman, PhD

Professor Emeritus of Drama and Film
(1967–2011)

I retired as Professor of Drama and Film at Vassar College in the spring of 2011, after spending forty-four years on the Vassar faculty. Since retirement, I have continued to live relatively near the college and often attend events on campus. I have continued to undertake writing projects since retirement, although in recent years these have been short pieces of narrative fiction rather than longer stage plays or screenplays. I enjoy hearing from former students.
