The Environmental Cooperative received grant funding from New City Parks to implement outdoor education programs in two local parks. Expanding on current partnerships with the City of Poughkeepsie School District and community organizations, the Cooperative will host field trips for elementary students at Malcolm X Park and Pershing Avenue Park.
For the 2023–2024 academic year, Vassar has ten Davis United World College Scholars—the most of any academic year in the past decade. The Program provides scholarship funding to financial aid-eligible Davis United World College Scholars.

A collection of works by African American artists from the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art kicked off a national tour on September 30 with an opening at the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center on the Vassar College campus. The exhibition, titled Silver Linings, highlights the works of masters, pioneers, and trailblazers who anchor the Spelman collection. The nearly 40 works represent a variety of media and techniques including painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed-media collage, prints, and photographs.
Vassar has received a grant from the National Science Foundation to purchase a one-million-dollar, state-of-the-art microscope that will significantly enhance faculty and student research opportunities at Vassar and other nearby colleges.
