Award-winning producer Jason Blum ’91, CEO and Founder of Blumhouse, responsible for such films as Whiplash, Get Out and BlacKkKlansman, will donate $10 million to Vassar College, President Elizabeth Bradley announced.
The Alumnae/i Association of Vassar College (AAVC) has chosen five alums to honor for their work at Vassar and beyond. They include: two 1982 classmates who have remained devoted to the College for decades; a young alumna excelling in two divergent careers simultaneously; and two distinguished lawyers whose work has taken on particular relevance as threats against basic human rights intensify in the U.S. and around the world.
Ada Ferrer ’84, Julius Silver Professor of History and Latin American and Caribbean Studies at New York University, has been awarded the Pulitzer Prize for her book Cuba: An American History.
More than 1,500 alums, friends, and family members were on campus to celebrate Reunion the weekend of June 3–5.
