Chibuzo Achinivu

Dr. Chibuzo Achinivu is a Visiting Assistant Professor: B.A., The University of Virginia; M.A., North Carolina State University; M.A. and Ph.D., University of Delaware. Chibuzo's research interests lie in African economic and political development, with an emphasis on the effects that the development process has on inequality, ethnic conflict, and political institutions. Presently, he works on the supply and demand of digital authoritarianism in Africa. This is part of a larger book project on the wider drivers of this trend around the world. His course offerings at Vassar include Comparative Politics, Democracy and Ethnicity in Africa, Digital Authoritarianism, and Developing Economies in the Liberal International Order.
