Board-Student Ambassador Program
The Board-Student Ambassador Program offers Vassar students the unique opportunity to strengthen the campus’ relationship with the College’s Board members. Borne out of and in response to an expressed interest from both students and Board members to connect with one another, the program will serve to expand the mission statement of the Board and to help drive student leadership on campus.
In a given academic year, every Board member who is inducted into the Board of Trustees will be assigned a Board-Student Ambassador who is to help enhance the new trustee’s onboarding experience. The Board-Student Ambassadors assist the Board members with everything from campus integration by way of planning events to basic administrative functions that help the President’s Office to prepare for the bi-annual Board meetings. Further, ambassadors will also benefit from finding personal and professional mentors in their respective Board members. By fostering a meaningful relationship between Board-Student Ambassadors and Board members, the program will promote Vassar’s very own committed pursuit to a liberal arts education.
