Schedel, Hartmann. Liber chronicarum.
Nurenberg: Anton Koberger, 1493.

A page from the Liber Chronicarum, or Nuremberg Chronicle, which is a history of the world beginning with the Creation. Written by a German physician and humanist, the work was the most ambitious illustrated work of the time. Michael Wolgemut, Hanns Pleydenwurff, and possibly Albrecht Durer produced over 1,800 woodcuts of people, places, and events.
