Harrison Remler ’14 was selected in the Music category; Xiaoyuan “Charlene” Ren ’13 was chosen in the Social Entrepreneurs category, and Alejandro Dinsmore ’15, Matthew Griffiths ’16, Casey Hancock ’16 and Harris Gordon ’15 were recognized in the Media category.

The Hispanic Heritage Committee of Poughkeepsie recognized Jennifer Rubbo, Manager of the Environmental Cooperative for Strategic Planning and Academic Resources, for the college’s collaboration with the group over the past three years. Rubbo received one of seven Community Service Awards presented by the group Nov. 10 at the Alumnae/i House.

Thanks to the generosity of Ellen Rubin Gordon ’52, her family, and the Cele H. and William B. Rubin Family Fund, Vassar’s All Campus Dining Center has a new name. In a ceremony Oct. 25 in the foyer of the Students’ Building, the dining center was officially designated Gordon Commons.
