More than 68 million people around the globe have been forced to flee their homes due to armed conflict, persecution, and extreme poverty. The numbers are staggering, and many feel helpless to do anything about it. But these alumnae/i, faculty, and students are making the plight of refugees visible—helping with resettlement efforts, working to bring peace to violent “hot spots,” and using their skills to tell the very human stories beyond the headlines.
