Lioba A. Gerhardi

Lioba Gerhardi is a Lecturer in German Studies and teaches courses in literature and film, as well as all levels of the German language. In her research and teaching, she is interested in the interplay of different forms of art and language and the broader intertextual space surrounding every artistic expression. 

From 2014 to 2023, Lioba was the director of the Self-Instructional Language Program, which provides the opportunity to learn American Sign Language and various less-commonly taught languages.

She currently serves as the Dean of First-Year Students and class advisor in the Dean of Studies office.
