Community Works Campaign
Dear Vassar employees, faculty, and emeriti,
The Community Works Committee is pleased to report that we have raised $39,000 from 104 of your colleagues to address the needs of Hudson Valley neighbors for the 2021 campaign. We are reading every day about the personal struggles and tragedies of those in our area who are dealing with the pandemic and economic fallout it has brought. As a community that is striving for equity, we believe these financial donations will make a big difference in 2021. Gifts have been made in the memory of Michael Pisani, Pam Hall, and Larry Mimiya and in honor of Anna Belle Gadsden-Jones and John McCleary.
Our goal of $80,000 from 225 Vassar community members cannot be achieved without your support. Please go to https://communityworks.vassar.edu/ to make a donation or to get information about the groups in our area that will receive these funds. Our campaign closes on December 18.
Sincerely,
John Bradley, Nicholas de Leeuw, Karen Getter, Doreen Hammell-Backer, Matthew Righter, Nicole Scalessa, Laura Streett, and Tracy Wright-Mauer.
