New CWA Contract Agreement Reached

Dear all,

I am writing to let you know that the College has reached an agreement with the Communications Workers of America (CWA) on a new four-year contract. The contributions of the CWA members are invaluable, and I am tremendously thankful for the commitment and care the 174 CWA members show every day in our work together.

The College also recently reached an agreement with the Hudson Valley Safety and Security Officer’s Union, another very important group here at Vassar. This group encompasses  22 members. Their work at the College is also invaluable, and we appreciate all of their contributions.

I would like to thank the union leadership and the Vassar bargaining team for their work on these agreements, particularly for their perseverance to make certain the College and these important groups had contracts in place for the busy start of the academic year.
