Updates regarding COVID-19 policies
March 18, 2022
Dear All,
Welcome back from Spring break! I hope students had a safe and fun time with some relaxation in the last two weeks while I know employees were largely here keeping everything running. I was in California and Washington DC, and even the White House—for Women’s History Month, which was very exciting.
I have taken my COVID-19 test after all that travel. All good.
Students must have a negative COVID-19 test within 24 hours before returning to campus, and must test again at 3-5 days after arrival. Post-arrival tests will be proctored by Health Services at the AULA between March 21st and 26th. Please be sure to schedule appointment through http://vassar.medicatconnect.com
We will continue to isolate and care for students who test positive for COVID-19, and employees, please stay home and email Bridget Romani (BrRomani@Vassar.edu) at Health Services if you have symptoms. We remain in a pandemic, and it is very important for us all to pay attention to our symptoms and do everything we can to not spread COVID-19. We want the campus to be healthy and safe for everyone and are mindful of people who are immunocompromised or have underlying conditions, and we want to ensure their wellbeing.
We will mask as we did before Spring break (we may unmask outside always and inside when exercising strenuously or, for employees, when we are inside in groups of 12 people or less). Otherwise, mask up please until we see the testing results; an update will be made within the first two weeks back on campus. This policy will begin on Saturday, March 19th, 2022.
As always, testing is still available (students from the vending machine) at Health Services (if symptomatic) and at Aula Wednesday and Friday 1:00-4:30pm (if not symptomatic).
Hope to see you on campus soon,
President Bradley
