Visiting Assistant Professor David Means won his third O. Henry Prize and two other prestigious awards for short stories that were published last year.

This year, the alumnae/i association, AAVC, turns 150. Throughout 2021, the College will be celebrating this anniversary by highlighting a few of Vassar’s most notable alumnae/i in architecture, arts, business, education, entertainment, health care, humanitarian efforts, law, social justice, and technology.

For the eighth year in a row, Vassar College has earned recognition as a Tree Campus Higher Education Institution by the Arbor Day Foundation.

Fifteen Vassar students were enrolled for 10 weeks this summer in the College’s Community Fellows program under the auspices of the Office of Community-Engaged Learning (OCEL). Now in its 23rd year, the program matches students’ skills and interests with the needs of not-for-profit and government agencies. Each of the students is paid a stipend by the College.
