Supported since 2020 by NIH’s National Institute of General Medical Sciences through the R15 Academic Research Enhancement Awards for Undergraduate-Focused Institutions (AREA) mechanism—including a supplemental grant for equipment in 2021—Colin’s research seeks to illuminate the translation of genetic information by a molecular machine called the ribosome and the role this process plays in the development and progression of human cancers.
