Xu Bing, one of the best-known artists on the world stage, has made real impact in China and abroad. Able to negotiate the cultural limitations wherever he finds himself, his work has evolved to meet the times, taking care to speak in many codes at once. His talk will be given in Chinese, with simultaneous translation provided. It will give rare access into Xu Bing's own sense of his art.

For four decades, he has described his work simply: “Wherever there are people, there are questions. And wherever there are questions, there is art.”
