Vassar’s application was selected to receive funding for the NCAA Division III Strategic Alliance Matching Grant. The grant committee praised Michelle Walsh, Director of Athletics and Physical Education, for her “dedication to diversity and inclusion,” noting in particular that her commitment and passion “truly stood out through your application, and we believe that this grant will help you make significant strides in your organization.”

Michelle said about the new grant, “We’re thrilled to receive this award from the NCAA. Aligned with the goals of this grant, our department is committed to providing more opportunities for women and ethnic minorities in Division III athletics leadership positions while continually working to enhance the experience of our 550 student-athletes here at Vassar.”
