Jia Tolentino is a Filipino American writer and editor. She is a staff writer for the New Yorker and the 2021 Danziger Distinguished Lecturer. Her debut title, Trick Mirror: Reflections on Self-Delusion, was named one of the best books of 2020 by the New York Times Book Review, Time, Chicago Tribune, the Washington Post, NPR, and more! Her lecture is sponsored by the Office of the Dean of the Faculty, the First-Year Writing Seminar Program, and the Vassar First-Year Program.
