Alexander Dolinin of the University of Wisconsin-Madison is one of the most prominent Nabokov specialists internationally. In this lecture, he will revisit the question of Russian references in Vladimir Nabokov’s most famous novel. Lolita is an important case for all language and culture studies because, as Mr. Dolinin argues in his scholarship, this celebrated masterpiece of modernist literature emerges at an intersection of two linguistic and cultural traditions.
