The College was mentioned and President Elizabeth Bradley was quoted in a Politico story about colleges that have recently adopted a test-optional admission policy. Vassar was mentioned in a Higher Ed Dive story about the test-optional admission policy and Sonya Smith, Dean of Admission and Student Financial Services, was quoted.

Freewater, a middle-grade novel about a secret community of formerly enslaved people authored by Amina Luqman-Dawson ’97, has won the John Newbery Medal for best children’s book of the year, as noted by ABC News.
