Summer BioBlitz

Jul. 18, 2023, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 pm
Location:

The Preserve at Vassar

Join the Preserve at Vassar for a day-long BioBlitz. We’ll spend the day exploring the biodiversity of our riparian buffer restoration site at the front of the Preserve, looking at insects, trees, fungi, and more! All are invited to share a day of outdoor exploration. No experience is required—we’ll have experts on hand to show you the ropes!

Please RSVP here and email ggoodrich@vassar.edu with any questions. Feel free to join for as little or as much of the BioBlitz as you’d like. Our survey schedule for the day is as follows:

6-7am: Birds

9-11:30am: Trees & Shrubs

11:30am-1pm: Insects

2-3pm: Mosses & Fungi

3-4pm: Aquatic Invertebrates

5-6pm: Final Tally & Celebration
