24th Annual Haitian Art & Handcraft Sale

Welcome to the 24th Families Weekend Haitian Art Sale & Auction at Vassar College, the Haiti Project’s biggest event of the year!

As a nonprofit seeking to cultivate global citizenship, empower Haitian artists, and foster sustainable development, the Haiti Project is thrilled to host this special sale showcasing over 200 original and affordable paintings while raising funds for education programs in rural Haiti. We’ll also have hundreds of unique colorful handcrafts—perfect for gift-giving. Learn more about our mission.

Join us at Vassar College on the weekend of Sept. 27–29. The festivities will kick off at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 27 in Vassar’s Multipurpose Room on the second floor of the College Center.

Hundreds of original paintings and handicrafts made in Haiti will be offered for sale or auction. The works span paintings, iron sculptures, paper mâché, wood and metal handcrafts and more—displaying the country’s diverse and talented artistic voices. Support sustainable development initiatives in Haiti, while simultaneously connecting with the vibrant, joyous narrative expressed through the art.

  • September 20 to 30: Auction (Online), all hours
  • Friday, September 27: Art Sale (In Person), 3 p.m.–6 p.m.
  • Saturday, September 28:
    • Art Sale (In Person), 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
    • Remarks by Sarah Planton and Pere Andre Wildaine, 4 p.m.
  • Sunday, September 29: Art Sale (In Person), 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

At 4 p.m., on Saturday, September 28, Philanthropist and donor Sarah Planton and our partner and consultant in Haiti Pere Andre Wildaine will address the importance of embracing Haiti during this challenging time in the nation’s history. The Haiti Project has been the recent recipient of generous donations of art from Ms. Planton, and has been able to undertake significant capital projects in Haiti under Pere Wildaine’s guidance.

This sale is being produced in collaboration with the student organization, Vassar Haiti Project.
