Vassar Resumes Campus Tours for Prospective Students, Families
After a 15-month hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Vassar College is resuming on-campus tours for prospective students and their families, Dean of Admissions and Student Financial Services Sonya K. Smith announced. The tours are open to all students and family members who provide proof of vaccination or a negative test for COVID-19.
Effective immediately, the on-campus visits will be offered twice a day Monday through Friday for all visitors who register in advance. For more information on the pre-registration procedure, visit our Admission site.
“We are excited to resume our in-person admission programming and welcome prospective students and their families to our beautiful campus,” Smith said. “Vassar is a special place, and we are glad that we can share it with people in person as well as continue to do so virtually. The admission team has been working incredibly hard to get everything ready to resume campus visits while ensuring safety for all.”
In-person information sessions will be held in one of the tents previously used for outdoor classrooms, with an alternate indoor location in case of inclement weather. Virtual information sessions will continue to be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays on Zoom. An admission officer will speak about academics, student life, the application process, and financial aid, and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about Vassar. And each Friday, a panel of current Vassar students will host a 30-minute Q&A session on Zoom.
