’74 President & CEO, Film Company

It’s been 35 years since I graduated from Vassar College, and yet the benefits of my training in STS continue to help me prosper intellectually and professionally. Today I am the President and CEO of an international film and television company.

Learning critical thinking skills during my time in the STS program, prepared me for building knowledge and understanding in a multitude of disciplines. Over the years, I have applied those skills to developing educational methodologies across varied learning platforms and disciplines. For example, I partnered with the National Wildlife Federation to produce a children’s television series about endangered animals for PBS. This involved developing curriculum programs tied to the television series. I also consult for an educational media company that produces and distributes DVDs to schools, libraries, and universities. It is because of STS that I have learned how to institute a cross-curriculum approach to marketing these programs to educational institutions.
